Oreo Berry Burst Cake
I’ve been blogging for just over three years now! I can’t believe how fast three years have flown by. The last week in March was my official 3rd birthday but I didn’t get this typed up in time. I started the blog just a few months before Alex and I got married. Looking back I’m not sure how I squeezed in wedding planning, work and starting up a blog all at the same time.

Last month’s book club was the most popular so far! To celebrate I’ve chosen another cupcake novel, Hot Cakes (US and UK), by Kim Newman Wood. This is the first independent ebook for the book club. I hope you all like it, I’m a big fan of ebooks. The novel is about Bex Mason Smythe who after falling on hard times starts selling cupcakes to support her designer lifestyle. Using her family recipe ruffles a few feathers and it’s icing bags at dawn!

I hardly ever buy a pack of Oreos just to eat with a glass of milk on the side. When I first moved to the UK they weren’t on general sale. Only a few stores carried them as an import item! They’ve been on sale for the last few years now and they even sell Oreos with choolate filling and double stuff Oreos. The cookies don’t come in an American sized box, instead they come in a small roll and there are about 15 cookies. Maybe one day we’ll see graham crackers for sale. Now that would make my day!

When I lived in Minnesota my parents took us to Bakers Square sometimes. I was only 10 but I still remember the pies! If we were allowed a slice of pie it was a real treat! My dad also used to take us to a pie factory that was opened a few times a year to the public. All I remember is that it was by Prince’s mansion…and we bought a lot of pies.
Read More{Book Review} Chloe’s Vegan Desserts
I’ve temporarily gone vegan! Just kidding I’ve got two vegan cookbook reviews lined up but I promise they are both delicious and droll worthy! I actually got Chloe’s Vegan Desserts just before Christmas and tested it our right away but the release date was in March so I kept thinking that was miles away and now somehow it’s already April. Sorry Chloe! I was pretty excited about this book. I love trying my hand at different kinds of baking but sometimes the specialty stuff never works out for me. I held my breath a little while Alex taste tested both of the recipes I made.

Hooray for last minute Easter cupcakes! I had a delicious lie in this morning. So excited to have two days off from work. My life is usually pretty organized but I’m terrible at planning ahead for the blog. The only I get ahead is when it’s time for pumpkin in the fall. I didn’t do any posts for St. Patrick’s day or UK Mother’s Day. There is still 2 days before Easter so there.
