It’s been four months and I have Oskar’s nursery finished! It was mostly finished a few months ago but then I banged the rocking chair into the wall and knocked out a chunk of dry wall. Oops! Alex patched it up this weekend for me.

It’s not often that I feel like making pie but the recent hot Tennessee weather called for something very summery. Strawberries are already in season down here. Basically the only local fruit you’ll find at the farmers market right now.

Hooray for long weekends! We had some friends from out of town visit. This is the first time someone non family has come to stay and I was so excited to bust out some hosting skills.

I thought I’d take a break from baking and share my favorite apps that I have on my phone. Hopefully some or at least one will be new to you. I picked a few silly games and apps that are a little out there! I have never owned an iphone so I can’t attest that these are available or works well but they all work great on my Samsung Note 4. Don’t forget that amazon offers an app of the day for free. Sometimes it’s a premium version of a game.

I made these Snickerdoodles least a month ago but time got away from me with the baby and all. I bought a waffle maker recently and have been “waffeling” pretty much everything. Tater tots, hash browns, french toast, biscuits and now cookie dough!
