I’m back! I survived my first week back at work. It was a little hard to hand the little bear over to the day care on the first day. He gave me the saddest little ‘where are you going look’ but after a few days he was fine.

I love my little koala bear and he keeps me pretty busy. I’m pretty much on my feet running around taking care of his laundry, endlessly putting his pacifier back in his mouth or keeping the house clean. We do spend a ton of time on the sofa watching Netflix while I feed him. I have watched every single episode of American Dad and I’m currently on House.

It’s almost Thanksgiving! Hopefully as you read this I’m on my way to Knoxville for a few days at my parents house. I spent several nights and all weekend getting my desserts ready for the big day. Hopefully they survive the three hour drive from Nashville.

I had high hopes for the new Fat Witch Bake Sale book. The brownie book was one of the first I bought after I started blogging. The Shortbread Brownies I made from the book were the first photo that was accepted to foodgawker.

I’ve reviewed some pie books and made quite a few pies this year because mastering pie crusts was one of my baking goals this year. I have so many pie books and I love all of them. They each have good tips and methods for making pie crusts as well as fun different variations.
