I can’t wait for Thanksgiving! We had a great Thanksgiving last year in New Hampshire with my sister but this year we’re having a huge dinner with about 15 members of my family in Knoxville. I’m in charge of desserts of course

I’m finally letting the pumpkin out of the patch! I kept it quiet for 25 weeks but it’s time to share our good news. I’m having a cupcake of my own due in early February.

I think these are my favorite pictures I’ve taken recently. The turquoise contrasts brilliantly with the orange colored pie. I love how rustic and homemade the pie ended up turning out.

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Hard to believe that this is the first time I’ll be having Thanksgiving on American soil since 2000. I was a junior in high school that year and just got my learners permit. That makes me feel really old now. I’m easing myself back into the tradition this year. I’m going to my sisters house in New Hampshire. We’re getting up a dawn and driving over there from Connecticut on Thursday morning. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it doesn’t snow too hard.

These macaroons are delicious but before I get to them I have to tell you that I’m so excited my sister and I are going to watch a taping of Maury Povich next week! I’m a huge lover of trashy TV. Talk shows, stupid girly shows, weight loss shows, I love them all. I’ve never gotten into The Real Housewives Franchise but I have always been a fan of Maury. Back when I was in college Maury wasn’t on in the UK yet and my friend would record episodes on a VCR in the US (how old do I feel now!) and bring them back for us to watch in her dorm room. We’d watch episodes of Maury and Cheaters after Countdown.
