These cookies are major. I mean MAJOR. Chocolate, intense, salty, crazy cookies. I understand why the recipe book they came from is called Cookie Love.

I have a habit of making untested recipes for holidays. Sometimes it works out great and often times they only turn out so so! My family aren’t very picky though. As long as it’s edible they’re happy I’ve made these cookies before but tried making them square (by using a ziploc bag). Only about three (the ones in the picture) came perfect. The rest look like trapezoids.

I had a great first 4th of July weekend! It was great to be back in America. It rained on Friday so we had our little celebration at home on Saturday.

This is the most amazing chocolate mousse recipe. It has salted caramel in it! Salted caramel! It’s rich, sweet and salty all at once. I made two pots just for myself and extra caramel sauce for good measure. This recipe is from David Lebovitz’s new book My Paris Kitchen.

Happy early Valentine’s Day! I already made a slew of happy pink treats but now it’s time to break out the big guns. This isn’t pink but it’s sure to win over even the coldest of hearts. I nearly died and went to heaven when I tasted these.
