It’s very rare that you’ll see a savory recipe over here. Out of nearly 600 posts there are nine savory recipes. That’s less than 2% of posts. When I do post a savory recipe I make sure it’s pretty special.

Bacon Chive Butter

This recipe is special because it has 3 great ingredients bacon, butter and steak! Being a baker at heart I’ve made sweet butters before. I made honey butter for cornbread but never really considered trying a savory butter. I’ve had savory butter but only ever garlic butter with bread sticks in the past or the little pots that come with a Papa John’s pizza. This is so easy to make it’s ridiculous but simple and most important delicious. That can only be a good thing.

Bacon Chive Butter

3/4 cup of butter

Bacon Chive Butter

Ingredients

3/4 cup butter, softened (I used a dairy free spread)

2 tbs fresh chives

2 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Stir all of the ingredients together in a bowl until combined and evenly distributed.
  2. Spoon onto a piece of cling film and roll into a cylinder. Twist the ends and refrigerate until firm, about 4 hours.
