Pineapple Honey Face MaskPosted by Cupcake Kelly on Jul 29, 2013 in Other | Comments Off on Pineapple Honey Face Mask
After I read Cooking Your Way To Gorgeous I was really excited to try out one of the do it at home beauty treatments. I usually treat myself to a face mask on Sunday mornings. My skin tends to feel a little clammy sometimes after being in the kitchen and baking all weekend.
I chose the Pineapple Honey Face Mask as the ingredients are all easy to obtain. The mask is supposed to be moisturizing. It was a little messy so make sure to wrap a towel around your shoulders just in case. My face felt refreshed afterwards and I certainly had fun working out different ratios of the ingredients.
I experimented around with a few different variations on the face mask. I couldn’t get the version in the book to be smooth enough but I think that’s because our blender doesn’t blend anything properly. If you’ve got strong arms to mash it by hand or a more powerful blender try these ratios 8 pineapple chunks, 1 tbs honey and 3 tbs olive oil. You should get a fine paste.
1 tbs honey
1/2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1 tbs fresh pineapple juice
- Mix all of the ingredients together and gently massage into your face. Leave for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and finish with a splash of cold water.
