I volunteered to make some charity cupcakes for work. A bunch of people are climbing mountains, swimming lakes and biking god knows how many miles to raise money for a good cause. Me, I don’t want to be anywhere near a tall mountain so I chipped in by providing the cupcakes.
I forgot what hard work it is making so many cupcakes at once. I usually make 12 or less at a time if I can help it. I also made 24 S’mores cupcakes. I really love this combo. The cake is super light and fluffy and the Nutella Frosting is so creamy.
I looked pretty silly on the DLR in the morning carrying two massive cupcake boxes, but it was all for a good cause.
I doubled this recipe from King Arthur flour (to get 24) and baked the cupcakes for 25 minutes. I topped it with double the recipe of Sweetapolita’s Nutella Frosting.

Good for you – I’m sure they fetched a pretty penny and they look great :-)
Thanks, my friend said they went over pretty well!
Is there anything in this world as happy as a cupcake? Especially well-crafted ones such as these? I think not!
And, despite them being Nutella cupcakes, when I look at them, I think Reese’s peanut Butter Cups. Yum!
Thank you! The chocolate frosting does look a little peanut butter cup like!
Love nutella cupcakes! I’m sure they went down a treat. Baking is just as important as climbing mountains :)
