I made these as my inspired treat after reading Christmas at the Cupcake Cafe. I also brought these in for office charity bake sale at work. I spent the whole morning in meetings at another building and luckily made it back just in time to buy a few cakes.
I already strung a bunch of annoying Christmas lights around my desk at works so if my coworkers aren’t ready for Christmas they will be now after eating these! The cupcakes are chocolate mocha peppermint with a peppermint swiss meringue buttercream with a hot fudge sauce drizzled on top from Bakers Royale.
These aren’t specifically from the book but I think they’d be good for winter time in New York where some of the book takes place.
I bought this awesome candy cane grinder at Harry & David. I sprinkled this on top of the cupcakes. It’s awesome for cupcakes and hot cocoa!
