Candy Cane Mocha Cupcakes

Candy Cane Mocha Cupcakes

It’s pretty last minute to be making Christmas cupcakes but if you have any leftover candy canes then these will be perfect!

I made my favorite chocolate mocha cupcakes (without the liquor) and vanilla swiss meringue buttercream (no Bailey’s). Add 8 (or more) crushed candy canes when the buttercream is finished or roll the edges in crushed candy canes.

Dr. Oetker sent me these really cute Christmas Cake decorations and I just ran out of time to make a whole cake to use them. I used them to make a little Santa’s Village of cupcakes instead.

They have a lot of baking supplies and decorations out now. They must be super popular, their shelf space at Waitrose (in Canary Wharf) was totally bare a few weeks before Christmas!

The little green sprinkles are actually foil like edible Christmas Tress that I bought at KAF when I was in Vermont.
