Browned Butter Chocolate Chip CookiesPosted by Cupcake Kelly on Dec 10, 2013 in Cookies, z | 0 comments
Let’s pretend that I’m not posting cookies with black and orange chocolate chips in December. Yet again time has got away with me and I have a huge backlog of posts. I never seem to be ahead of schedule. Thank you Pinterest for making me feel bad. I don’t have any amazing 12 Days of Christmas planned. I managed to make it into work without slipping in the ice and falling on my bum. Now that’s a win!
Alex and I got hooked on Game of Thrones this weekend. I had to pull myself away from the TV on Sunday night! We watched 8 episodes in two days.
We bought a Samsung Smart TV a few months ago. Electronics aren’t compatible between Europe and the US. They run on a different voltage and different systems so we had to sell our old TV when we left. Alex bought me our old TV as a birthday present when we first started dating.
Back then the 32 inch flat screen was pretty amazing (he was trying to impress me) but we sure did get a lot of use out of it it. Six years later looking our new TV, watching everything in HD, I don’t think we’ll ever go to the movies again. I love going to the movies but I hate sitting so close to other people talking, sneezing and blocking the screen. There is an HBO app on the TV that lets us watch all HBO series on demand. Why pay for a movie ticket when we have endless entertainment options?
The only downside is I’ll have to wait 1-2 years to watch Catching Fire on Netflix.
Over the next few weeks while we get up to speed with Game of Thrones I’ll have to remember to blog and other important things like don’t forget to go to work!
Back to what you came here for! Despite the Halloween themed chips these browned butter cookies are good all year round. Substitute your favorite chocolate chips. The recipe is at Joy The Baker. I didn’t add any nuts and I omitted the molasses.
