Snickers Brownies

This is the second recipe I made from Baked in America in a week! I love this book. Read my review of it here and my review of Outsider Tart here.

The base of the brownies are soft with marshmallows, chocolate chips and salty peanuts.

The brownie is topped with a home made salty caramel. The recipe calls for a fairly large pan but I only have a 9 x 9. For this size pan I would recommend halving the batter and making all of the topping.

I’m going to hold out and not post the recipe this time. I just posted the Chocolate Snickerdoodles and as the book has just been released I think it would be nice to support David & David by buying the book (US and UK).

    If you can't eat nuts you could substitute some extra marshmallows or maybe some butterscotch chips?

    On the caramel topping skip the salty peanut topping and sprinkle some sea salt or fleur de sal instead!
