I made these cookies to bring into work along with the Heart Attack Brownies for my birthday. They were a nice lighter treat compared to the monster brownies. I made these all the way back in February but I think the coconut and orange combo work a lot better for spring than in winter. Being terribly behind in some of my posts has worked in my favor this time! Sweet!

I was itching to use my fancy cappuccino chips I bought in Vermont when I went to visit my sister last year. I recently made some classic chocolate chip cookies so I decided to go the chocolate route this time.

I made these as a last minute snack to have on Christmas day. I got a little side tracked with all the Valentine’s Day baking to post these. They are perfect to dip in a cup of tea or have alongside a cup of coffee or hot cocoa.

Thumbprint cookies remind me of my grandma. She used to buy us really brightly colored ones from Giant Eagle every time we came to visit. I was thinking about her the other day and decided I needed to make a homemade version.
