Green Tea and Lemon Loaf

My light lemon and tea scented loaf cake turned out to be a big hit with my husband. He’s a meat and potatoes kind of guy so I was a little surprised, but then again he’ll eat nearly anything I put in front of him. I’m pretty lucky that he’s adventurous to try new ingredients and flavors. This is a great after Thanksgiving loaf. If you’re feeling overloaded with turkey leftovers the gentle and delicate flavors of this loaf are perfect.

Last week was National Bundt Day. These foodie holidays are a great excuse to dust off long forgotten pans shoved to the back of the pantry or even better to go out and find a new pan to fall in love with. I started baking along for National Bundt Day a few years ago after reading Mary’s blog. Pumpkin Donut Cheesecake Jars

Raise your hand if you get swept away with pumpkin fever every fall! The pumpkin craze finally reached the shores of the UK last autumn with the arrival of the pumpkin spice latte but those of us in the know knew where to find canned pumpkin years ago. During the pumpkin shortage of 2011 I bought and carried about 10 cans of pumpkin straight across London for fear of being without pumpkin pie. Eating and baking with pumpkin is more of a North American thing and when I arrived back in the US permanently, just over a month ago, I went crazy and bought every single pumpkin product I saw on the shelves.
