{Book Review} The Cookie Dough Lover’s Cookbook
Posted by Cupcake Kelly on Jun 25, 2012 in Book Review | 5 commentsThe Cookie Dough Lover’s Cookbook is the wet dream of cookbooks. Written by food blogger Lindsay Landis of Love & Olive Oil. The book contains six chapters of recipes that all have cookie dough as their main component.
What makes the book such fun is that you’re not supposed to eat raw cookie dough so each recipes feels so bad but tastes so good! Luckily, all the recipes for the raw cookie dough are egg free so you don’t have worry about potentially poisoning yourself or your friends. I love the layout of the book, like many Quirk publications, it’s spiral bound, colorful and with plenty of helpful hints along with the recipes.
The introduction of the book includes 10 egg free cookie doughs such as peanut butter and oatmeal raisin, which you can interchange with any of the recipes in the book. I stuck to regular old chocolate chip for the first two recipes that I tried. The chapters are candy, cookies and brownies, cakes, frozen treats, breakfasts and snacks.
I made the chocolate chip cookie dough brownies to bring to a Jubilee party over the last bank holiday and they were gone faster than the Jubilee themed Eton Mess Cupcakes! I’m also a big campaigner in dessert for breakfast and I can’t wait to make the cookie dough pancakes for my next brunch.

I received a copy of the book from Quirk to review

This book is on my wish list. Looks good! I love trying to veganize new recipes. Sounds like the raw cookie dough is super easy to do.
I’m pretty sure she mentions vegan cookie dough specifically in there somewhere.
It look delicius. Un libro estupendo, gracias por enseñarlo. Un saludo
This is my kind of book, I’ve been known to bake just to eat the raw mix!
I just got my copy to review last week - cant wait to try the recipes but will have to wait till I get back from travelling. I’m doubly excited now after reading your review
