Carrot Cake Smoothie

Carrot Cake Smoothie

I’m super pumped to share the first of many smoothie recipes. I got a Vitamix 750 Pro for Christmas and for the first week I blended all of my meals. I love it so much.

I had my old blender for about six years. It was a big glass clunky thing that I got for £15 but it wasn’t very powerful. I still made a lot of smoothies but green smoothies would end up bitty tasting and frozen berries wouldn’t completely blend.

I chose the 750 because of my lazy nature. It has some handy preset functions. I can layer in all of my smoothie ingredients, turn to smoothie setting and come back a minute later and my smoothie is ready. I knew I wanted a Vitamix several years ago (those damn demonstrators are so good and convincing). I spent several hours on the internet researching the different models, prices on different websites and refurbished versus non refurbished models. I bought a newer model so it was a bit more but they sell the main Vitamix model at Costco for $375.

There are definitely whole blogs out there dedicated to blending. I used this comparison chart. There are also other brands so research and find the one that is right for you.

One of my favorite things to blend is carrots. I love watching them get pulverized in the blender. The carrot cake smoothie is fun because I feel like I’m having dessert for breakfast. You can find the recipe for the smoothie over at The Green Forks.

I purchased my own Vitamix. This is not a Vitamix sponsored post. This post does contain Amazon affiliate links.

  1. Apparently Vitamix were very popular at FBC12 – all of the people I know who went are now crazy about them!

    • I was there and that’s what made me want one so bad! I held off buying one there since I thought we might move in the near future.
